Dr. Jamie Aten is a disaster psychologist and founder and executive director of the Humanitarian Disaster Institute (HDI) at Wheaton College, who underwent his own personal disaster when at the age of 35 he was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer. He’s spoken at University of Cambridge, World Economic Forum Global Young Leaders Conference, American Psychological Association, and George Washington University Cancer Institute.
